I am very sorry to hear about the passing of your father. I am a probation officer and have had the pleasure of working in Marion County(Juvenile and Municipal) while the Judge was on the bench. He was one of the nicest, fairest Judges that I have had the privilege to know. He treated everyone with respect and dignity, It was a great loss to the bench when he left. I wanted you to know what a great man/Judge he was. My prayers are with your family.

To the family of Judge Jones:
I am truly sorry for the loss of Judge Jones. I began work as a clerk in the City County Building in 1990 and Judge Jones was the first Judge I worked for as a Clerk. He was my favorite Judge of all time. He loved to pick on me as I was a Purdue graduate. The first Christmas I spent with him as his clerk, I purchased him several Purdue items. He was such a great Judge, a great person and he will be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
    Sincerely,
    Diane Stamatkin

Praying for the family of Judge Jones.
I had the privilege of knowing the Judge while being a police officer with IPD. Never did he not have a kind word when meeting myself and others, a genuine person. He was an upstanding leader and respected in his field by law enforcement officers.
We can only imagine the work God has planned for him in Heaven.
May all of your memories sustain and strengthen you as you heal.
    God Bless You,

I met Judge Jones when he was a City Prosecutor with people like Stephen Goldsmith, John Ryan, James Payne, and Chris. He then got elected to the bench. I fondly remember his great demeanor.

I first met Judge Jones when he was on the bench in Municipal Court. I was an Indianapolis Police Department Vice Officer at the time. Judge Jones was a true friend to the police, but he would not allow us to even attempt pull the wool over his eyes. He was tough on the criminals and tough on us. He stood up for what was right and not because it the political thing to do. He was an exemplary Judge and was well respected throughout the law enforcment community. I always knew that Roy was a Christian and I am looking forward to seeing him again in Heaven.

I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Judge Jones. I have many fond memories from the days he worked in the City Prosecutors Office. He was always very friendly and always willing to help the police officers. Judge Jones never changed over the years. He was a great man. My condolences to Judge Jones family.
